Landscape + food + creativity + identity
We are living in special times. One could say that the pillars of the production and consumption system that was hegemonic until very recently are starting to show cracks, and that this model of growth that seemed unquestionable yesterday is in quarantine today. At the same time, new attitudes are arising right and left about natural resources, landscape and the places where we lead our daily lives. People want fuller and more meaningful lives, and everything related to healthier food, local products and environmentally friendly agricultural practices is essential to this process. This is creative and imaginative food that is above all understood as an expression of the identity of a place and of its face, the landscape. Aware of the great number of interesting related initiatives that have been appearing, the Landscape Observatory of Catalonia is cooperating with the Catalunya-La Pedrera Foundation and the Alícia Foundation to organise this seminar to deeply discuss the relationships between landscape, food, creativity and identity as another way to emerge firmly and solidly from one of the worst systemic crises that our society and economy have ever faced.
