After decades in which the occupation of the territory was synonymous with economic wealth, in recent years there has been a cultural change that bets for the defense of the landscape. Thus, the landscape is seen as a common good that must be protected, managed and ordered to improve the quality of life of the population, but also because a well-taken care of landscape can favor local economic growth. In order to try to tackle with the legacy of the real estate boom, there has been a need to rethink the territory and look for systems to recover these spaces. In the restoration and desurbanization processes, the world of art and citizens have much to say. This book is framed in the process of restoration of the maresma de la Pletera in L'Estartit and in the artistic interventions that seek to promote the recovery of the memory of the place and the dissemination of a landscape intervention with a public purpose.
