Through its novel character and its importance in town and country planning in Catalonia, the Landscape Observatory has prepared a Prototype Landscape Catalogue which establishes a basic conceptual, methodological and procedural outline to ensure the preparation of the seven catalogues in a coherent and coordinated way.
In 2005 this document was submitted to the consideration of more than 70 institutions, research groups and landscape experts in order to obtain the maximum consensus as to its contents, and it was the subject of a first review in May 2006.
