Advice to Government Definition of ten landscape quality objectives for Catalonia, which emerge from the long and varied list of landscape quality objectives in the landscape catalogues of Catalonia.
Advice to Government Presentation of the Landscape Catalogues of Alt Pirineu i Aran, Comarques Gironines and Terres de l'Ebre after the summer in 2008, and of the Regió Metropolitana de Barcelona at the end of 2008. The coordination of the Landscape Catalogue of the Comarques Centrals starts from February 2008 and will be finished at the beginning of 2009.
Advice to Government The landscape catalogues include public consultation as a tool for the involvement and co-responsibility of society in the management and planning of its landscape. This is done through different mechanisms, with the collaboration of the General Directorate of Citizen Participation of the Government of Catalonia.
Advice to Government The Landscape Observatory is taking part in monitoring and advising on the Landscape Charters of the Camprodon Valley, Alt Empordą and the municipalities of the Valley of the Argentona stream and the Valley of the Tenes. Advice to Government Collaboration with the ministries of Education and of Town and Country Planning and Public Works of the Government of Catalonia in the preparation and implementation of teaching material in the educational innovation project "City, territory and landscape", for ESO. The project includes creating an educational web on landscape as a new section in the Observatory web.
Research Definition and application of a list of landscape indicators for Catalonia which provide knowledge and give ability to follow up the state of Catalan landscapes and their evolution, the people's satisfaction with their landscape and the effectiveness of public and private initiatives for the improvement of the landscapes.
Documentation Extension of the documentary funds of the documentation centre and setting up consultation through the web.
Communication and diffusion Collaboration in organising the cycle of lectures: "On the edge. The landscapes we do not see", organised by the Mercč Cultural Centre of Girona. Communication and diffusion Extension of the web with the contents of the Landscape catalogue of Camp de Tarragona, with mechanisms for participation in the landscape catalogues which are being prepared and in the educationally innovative teaching material, "City, territory and landscape", among other resources.
Communication and diffusion Distribution every two months of the bulletin Landscap-e, as a reference tool of information, training and sensitisation on landscape in Catalan society. It sets out the activity developed by the Observatory and all the information of interest on landscape in our country and on an international scale.
Communication and diffusion Distribution of the Dietari de Paisatge, a weekly collection of news items on landscape published in the principal written communication media around the world, with special emphasis on news referring to Catalonia.
Communication and diffusion Monthly issue of the bulletin Landscape Events, offering a selection of congresses, seminars, courses, presentations, conferences and exhibitions, among other activities around the world, with special emphasis on events in Catalonia.
Communication and diffusion Organisation, jointly with La Garrotxa District Museum, of activities in parallel with the "Country of landscapes" exhibition by the Ministry of Town and Country Planning and Public Works and the Presidential Department of the Government of Catalonia. Institutional participation Active participation in the Network of Local and Regional Authorities for the Implementation of the European Landscape Convention (RECEP) of the Council of Europe.
Institutional participation Active participation in various initiatives and institutions in the Catalan, State and European ambits. |
